The Global Head of Social Media will lead the strategy, execution, and evolution of Yugo’s global social media presence, shaping how our brand connects with students across the world. Operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, this individual will bring a global mindset, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a deep passion for social media and creating meaningful experiences for students. This role requires a balance of creative vision and analytical rigour, with the ability to inspire teams, empower local markets, and deliver impactful storytelling that strengthens our brand across diverse channels and cultures.

• Define and lead the rollout of Yugo’s global social media strategy, ensuring alignment with brand vision, student needs, and business objectives.
• Drive the creation of innovative, student-centric content that amplifies voices, builds community, and strengthens our global brand identity.
• Partner with regional and on-the-ground teams to empower local execution while ensuring brand consistency across platforms and markets.
• Lead social listening and insight generation to inform strategy, content development, and proactive brand reputation management.
• Establish clear KPIs and measure performance across platforms, leveraging data to optimise reach, engagement, and impact.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (brand, partnerships, student experience, digital, and PR) to integrate social media into broader campaigns.
• Manage relationships with external agencies, partners, and platforms to ensure best-in-class execution and innovation.

Experience and Knowledge
Essential:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Brand Management, Communications, or Digital Media, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in social media, with at least a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven success in developing and executing global social media strategies across multiple regions and cultures.
• Strong track record of leading and inspiring diverse teams, both centrally and across local markets.
• Demonstrated expertise in community building, content innovation, and creating meaningful online/offline engagement for Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences.
• Proficiency with social listening, analytics, and reporting tools, with a history of driving data-led improvements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience working across marketing, sales, operations, and external agencies.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, with excellent written and spoken English.
• Internationally minded, with a global perspective and the flexibility to travel as required to support activations across markets.
Desirable:
• Proficient in other languages (French, Italian).
• Design capabilities.
