  • Salary: £42,000 per annum

The Communications Manager is a Yugoer at heart and tells a story to our partners, stakeholders, students, our teams and media globally. This person will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communication plans that align with the company’s mission, vision and values.

 

You will report to Jo MacAdie, Global Communications Director, and work closely with Yugo’s leadership team and external stakeholders to build and maintain a strong brand image, enhance the company’s reputation and communicate with our target audiences effectively.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

 

Reporting in to our Global Communications Director; here's what you'll do:

  • Implement the communication strategies that align with company initiatives and objectives, encompassing:
    • Internal & external communications
    • Content creation (design & written)
    • LinkedIn management
    • Stakeholder support
    • Partnership communication campaigns
    • Awards, speaking opportunities & events
    • ESG support

 

  • Enhance the impact of communications by using strong writing, clear storytelling, and engaging design.
  • Write and edit compelling content for various platforms including press releases, LinkedIn, briefing documents and internal communications.
  • Collaborate with internal teams worldwide, establishing regular channels to capture their updates and ensure their communication needs are consistently met.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing strategic counsel on communications planning, messaging and stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead communications for global brand partnerships and campaigns, ensuring strong internal engagement, external visibility and alignment with Yugo’s brand narrative
  • Manage and maintain the Yugo's LinkedIn, ensuring consistent messaging and brand voice across.
  • Coordinate with communications agency and PR contacts to secure positive media coverage and enhance brand visibility.
  • Design visually engaging content for LinkedIn and internal communications using design software.
  • Draft and manage internal communications using the Group’s internal communications tool.
  • Assist with planning and executing external events.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, news, and best practices in communications and public affairs.
  • Contribute to ESG communication initiatives for Yugo working with the Governance Risk and Compliance Committee.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communication or Marketing (or equivalent experience).
  • Exceptional writing skills.
  • Proficient in using LinkedIn.
  • Ability to use design tools to create engaging communications pieces.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly organised and ability to manage expectations.
  • The ability to multitask.
  • Global outlook and open to travel.
  • Excellent communicator and ability to work in a fast paced agile environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • High level of integrity, dependability, and confidentiality.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills specifically Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Canva, MailChimp, Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledge of public affairs and a keen interest in staying informed on relevant issues.
  • Proactive and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational, problem solving and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Energetic, confident, level-headed communicator with real clarity of thought and presentation.
  • Ability to manage upwards and meet tight deadlines when required.
  • Experience in working with a global tech/real estate/hospitality investment organisation
