As our Marketing Manager for Northern Europe, you’ll be a proud Yugoer, committed to helping students “Live Their Best Life” .

The role will be supporting the operational business in Yugo Northern Europe Countries ((currently comprising a portfolio across France, Germany, Austria and Poland) to ensure the smooth coordination and delivery of several marketing initiatives – both digital and offline – across various locations for all our spaces.

 

One of the key responsibilities of this role will be the execution of various marketing materials in line with brand guidelines, as well as assisting the wider marketing team in all other daily business including: set up and optimization of marketing campaigns, reporting and providing recommendations. The position requires a high degree of entrepreneurship, efficiency and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Within your markets:

 

  • Be the voice of Yugo to teammates and students alike in Yugo Northern Europe Countries (France, Germany, Austria and Poland).
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of online and offline marketing activities.
  • Assist in building the marketing budget for each site we manage, track marketing expenditures and follow marketing invoicing process.
  • Define and implement a local marketing plan for each building we manage with nationwide activities and local ones - aiming to achieve the desired number of leads, with an aim to have buildings at 100% occupancy.
  • Have “a finger on the pulse” when it comes to Social Media in your markets – know trends and report on them, assist and guide colleagues to achieve success.
  • Be the main storyteller towards internal stakeholders for your markets - create and optimize PowerPoint presentations and reports.
  • Manage CRM tools to effectively communicate with existing customers and attract new consumers.
  • Be the Content Management System champion in your markets, easing the transition of the newly acquired French website to Yugo environment, following Yugo brand guidelines and optimizing contents to increase generated leads.
  • Take care of the transition of buildings from the current brand to Yugo brand, following brand guidelines and landlord indications.
  • Visualize and produce marketing materials like brochures, leaflets, banners, ads, promotional items, etc. that align with our target audience profiles and meet Yugo brand standards – you’re not creating but you are visualizing for your teammates, creating what you need to be successful.
  • Support with copywriting for all marketing activities (headlines and copy texts).
  • Source new ways to best engage with our audiences, consumers and customer alike.
  • Be the marketing contact point for the accommodation teams to identify local marketing opportunities and paid advertising to increase Yugo visibility and leads generation - following the trend of the booking curve and being reactive enough to propose additional marketing activities when the booking curve deviates from the target.
  • Analyze students’ demographics in the buildings and translate them into marketing activities.
  • Coordinate trade fairs and promotional offline activities from a marketing point of view (brand presence) supporting the work of Sales team colleagues.
  • Conduct market research on key trends, events and competitor activity. Use this data to adjust and re-align strategies and campaigns.
  • Supervise and mentor a direct report, providing hands-on guidance, fostering their skills development, and encouraging a creative, collaborative work environment.
  • Research and analysis work.

 

Metrics:

  • Supply marketing support to the leasing strategy for Germany, Austria and Poland buildings
  • Supporting the complete transition to our Yugo France webpages, including driving the optimization of content, copy and imagery
  • Drive and own the rebranding project from a marketing point of view of each building in France. Support the branding team for French assets, including the creation of new marketing collaterals for the buildings and for supporting sales
  • Collaborate closely with our French colleagues to understand the planned marketing activities and signed agreements for the upcoming academic year, and to plan any additional activities as needed.

 

This is a remote role, based in France, covering markets across continental Europe.

Qualifications

Skills and Capabilities:

  • Excellent communicator. Articulates and reinforce our brand story, values and behaviors with the team. Perfect mastery of both written and oral English and French; at least another European language amongst German or Polish knowledge will be considered a plus. You’ll also need to be able to bring digital stats to life.
  • Passion– Shows interest in, anticipates, and responds timely to stakeholders. Strives to consistently exceed service standards.
  • Managing resources –Plans, coordinates and manages internal and external resources to accomplish goals.
  • Interpersonal skills – A team player, even via Teams! Engages with colleagues knowing that the best way to grow is together. Understands and recognizes the value of other points of view and ways of doing things.
  • Administrative Skills – Computer literate with excellent mastery of PowerPoint.

Essential:

  1. Marketing or Communication related degree or equivalent professional qualification (3 years of proven experience is required).
  2. Excellent written and spoken English and French, and at least another European language (preferably German and/or Polish).
  3. Ability to maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders (teammates, students, owners etc.).
  4. Being passionate about the details, driving results with purpose, resilience, and enthusiasm, resourcefulness, and a positive, go-getter attitude regardless of the tasks at hand.
  5. Must be able to multi-task, grasp complex concepts, collaborate with subject matter experts and ultimately present solutions effectively in written and visual format.
  6. Ability and willingness to travel in the region.
  7. Qualification and/or willingness to undertake training for Carbon Literacy.

 

 

Desirable:

  • Passion for Marketing driven photography, video making and internal design.
  • Passion for sales processes.
  • First experience with social media.
  • Knowledge of CMS and CRM tools.
