Our People Team is an integral part of ensuring all of our Yugoers, present and future are looked after.  You will be responsible for delivering timely and effective operational and commercial advice to the business and supporting the People Partners in ensuring that the short, medium and long-term objectives of the People function are achieved.

 

This role will be responsible for assisting the People team with the delivery of a full range of people related services designed to build credibility and confidence with stakeholders and employees alike.  To work in line with Company policies, whilst limiting risks to the business.  Reporting to the People Partner, you will gain the necessary exposure to manage People projects and initiatives to support the Company’s growth and business plan.

Responsibilities

Payroll and General HR

  • Update and manage HRIS on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to ensure that data is correct.
  • Manage Time Management, Payroll and Performance Management Systems.
  • Complete draft contracts and addendums and all employment contracts according to the local legislation.
  • Manage payroll instructions are prepared and logged in time for the monthly payroll run and submitted to the People Partner for approval and submission. (New Starters, leavers, addendums)
  • Manage new joiners inductions as well as work with other departments to coordinate onboardings.
  • Provide appropriate reports from the HRIS database for the purpose of auditing and monitoring employee data and training.
  • To support internal and external transfers of people from or to the business in line with Integration, TUPE or Adquisition Legislation
  • Serving as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
  • Assisting with conflict resolution and employee disciplinary actions
  • To assist structural/strategic change programs to support the business in their growth as required.
  • To prepare timely and accurate management reporting for analysis by the People Partner.
  • To act as an ambassador to the business, by promoting a positive culture.

Policy implementation and Compliance

  •  Assisting in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Conducting regular audits of HR processes to ensure adherence to company standards.

Project Work

  • To assist in the writing for new policies and regular updating of new policies.
  • Support the research of salary and grading information for benchmarking activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate on various people and culture programs and initiatives.
  • To ensure that People & Culture communications are sent out in a timely manner, reflecting updated or shared new information.
  • This position will also support with recruitment acticitites. 
  • This role will lead and support the delivery of training in French.  

Qualifications

Essential:

  1. A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  2. Experience of providing Generalist HR support within a multi-site environment, large matrix organization.
  3. Strong working knowledge of relevant policies, codes of practice, and employment legislation in France.
  4. At least 2 years’ experience in a generalist or ER specialist role.
  5. Experience of working in both corporate and operational environments.
  6. Excellent written and spoken English and French. 
  7. Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office and HR systems.
  8. Excellent time management with the ability to prioritise workload. 

 

Desirable:

  1. HR Certification or Qualifitacion: CIPD, SHRM or similar.
  2. Experience of working within an international business.
  3. Experience of the student accommodation or hospitality sector.
  4. Exposure to the European market.
  5. Integration, Acquisition or TUPE experience.
  6. Ability to communicate in another European language.
