As a Leasing Manager, you’ll report to the General Manager and lead all leasing and sales efforts at Yugo Salt Lake City Landing—a property undergoing a major renovation, with leasing starting now.

Whether it’s pre-leasing before walls are up or building buzz around a reimagined space, you know how to create demand, build trust, and deliver results. You’re ready to lead a team, drive urgency, and hit occupancy goals in one of the most critical phases of the property’s lifecycle.

 

This role is all about execution. You’ll coach and develop the leasing team, implement high-impact strategies, and ensure every prospect has a standout experience. From generating traffic to converting leads, you’ll bring the energy, organization, and sales mindset needed to make lease-up a success.

You’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. You know how to connect with students and families, motivate a team, and work cross-functionally with marketing and operations to get results.

Responsibilities

  • 2–4+ years of leasing experience with a proven track record in new development and/or renovation lease-ups in the student or multifamily housing.
  • Demonstrated success in launching lease-up campaigns pre-construction and achieving full occupancy before move-in.
  • Experience working closely with construction, marketing, and property operations during property openings.
  • Proven experience and ability to lead and inspire a team in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments.
  • Knowledge of student lifestyle trends and Gen Z customer behaviors
  • Proven success in meeting/exceeding occupancy targets in a high-pressure leasing season.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, especially with students and parents.
  • A sales-first mindset with a passion for customer experience.
  • Proficiency with Entrata or similar CRM
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and campus/community events as needed.

Here’s what you’ll be doing!

  • Leading the full lease-up process for major renovation student housing project—planning, executing, and adapting strategies to hit key occupancy milestones.
  • Generating pre-leasing momentum before construction is complete, including virtual tours, renderings, hard-hat tours, pop-up events, and social media campaigns.
  • Building and managing a high-performing leasing team, setting daily goals, providing training and feedback, and fostering a culture of accountability and hustle.
  • Partnering closely with construction and operations teams to understand the development timeline and ensure marketing and leasing efforts are aligned with unit readiness.
  • Creating compelling messaging that highlights the unique features of a new or upgraded community, leveraging renderings and future lifestyle branding.
  • Developing and owning local marketing strategy—building relationships with campus partners, local influencers, student organizations, and businesses to drive awareness and referrals.
  • Analyzing traffic, conversion, and lease velocity daily to refine outreach strategies and achieve results on tight lease-up timelines.
  • Ensuring flawless execution of the tour experience, even when spaces are under construction or unavailable for viewing.
  • Driving renewal and retention strategy by engaging early with prospects and future residents, ensuring a smooth transition from lease signing through move-in.
  • Maintaining full compliance with student housing policies, Fair Housing laws, and company standards.
