Dynamic and in touch with our student base? The Website Content Lead is a Yugoer at heart and lives our goal
of making our customers “Live their Best Life”. The Website Content Lead will be supporting and executing the
creation and optimization of content across all website(s) and platforms to best reflect and cater to our
customers. You'll be the go-to expert for bringing key business campaigns to life on-site, ensuring that every
consumer touchpoint—from the homepage to product pages—is engaging, on-brand, and optimized for every
screen.


It’s a big job! You are a self-starter and are (relatively) autonomous, at least enough to work across multiple
time zones and jurisdictions. Crucially you are passionate about and energized by new projects and creating
growth and contributing to the success of the business.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities


Content Strategy & Development:

 

  • Lead the creation, development, and management of website content across multiple global
    sites, ensuring it meets brand standards, engages audiences, and supports business
    objectives.
  • Contribute and Collaborate with the UX and CRO roadmap with the aim of improving the
    user booking journey
  • Partner with marketing and agency teams to strengthen SEO performance and guide content
    strategy.
  • With the help of the digital agency, maintain the global blog page via our SEO-optimised
    content strategy.
  • Stay ahead of content trends and continuously push innovation in digital storytelling.

Content Auditing & Optimization:

 

  • Regularly audit existing content for accuracy, consistency, SEO effectiveness, and user
    engagement.
  • Report to a wide group of internal and external stakeholders on the audits conducted.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize and update website content to enhance the user
    experience, and present development recommendations to internal stakeholders to gain
    buy-in before scheduling implementation.


Collaboration with Product Owner, Marketing Teams & Wider Departments:

  • Work closely with the Website Product Owner to align content strategy with product and
    platform developments.
  • Collaborate with central and regional marketing teams to integrate
    content with broader marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Work with the central marketing and regional leasing & marketing teams to seek new ways
    to acquire new customers and plan and execute effective and innovative marketing activity
    to meet customer growth targets on yugo.com and crm-student.com.
  • Work with the IT and marketing stakeholders to provide insight into all website content
    execution and performance.
  • Maintain regular touchpoints with other departments to ensure their pages on the global
    website are accurate, up to date, and aligned with current business goals. Support these
    teams in refreshing content and launching new campaigns as required.
  • Define and deliver reporting and analysis that demonstrates the impact of key content
    workstreams.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Supervise and mentor a direct report (Website Content Specialist), providing hands-on
    guidance, fostering their skills development, and encouraging a creative, collaborative work
    environment.


Content Workflow Management:

  • Develop and maintain efficient content workflows, ensuring that content updates and new
    projects are delivered on time.
  • Encourage innovative approaches to streamline processes and improve output quality.


Customer-Centric Focus:

  • Ensure that all website content is tailored to meet the needs of global audiences, providing a
    seamless user experience and maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Continuously optimize accommodation listings, content discoverability, and site structure to
    support and simplify the student booking journey.

Systems & Process Optimization:

 

  • Utilize content management systems (CMS) and other digital tools to manage workflows,
    track performance, and ensure smooth integration with other digital marketing systems.
  • Be a key stakeholder for the CMS (coremedia and Yardi) and all content on yugo.com, crmstudents.com and other sub brands both imagery and text.
  • Work with Website Product Owner to develop process guides, Business Requirements
    Documentation, Change Request etc. to ensure the continued development of the websites
    and product.

Qualifications

Experience and Knowledge


Essential:

  • Marketing or eCommerce related degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in content development, management, and strategy for global websites.
  • Strong background working with content management systems (CMS) and digital marketing tools.
  • Experience managing and mentoring team members, with a focus on developing creative and
    efficient work processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, UX/UI principles, and website analytics.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and excited to work across a global landscape.
  • Data-driven mindset, with communication skills that lend themselves to presenting key findings.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work across teams and regions.
  • A customer-first mindset with a passion for enhancing user experiences.
  • Ability to leverage technology to improve content workflows, increase efficiency, and maintain
    content quality.


Desirable:

  • Knowledge of CMS and CRM tools. Ideally knowledge of CoreMedia.
  • Experience working within a global organization with regional content considerations.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like Trello, Asana, or Jira.
  • Experience in B2B or B2C environments is a plus.
